From Brayden...

Brayden wanted to put something on his 'bloggie'. Have I said how much I love that he calls it that? Anyway, here's what Brayden wanted me to type for him:

"Thanks for praying for me. Um, I'm doing really well. Your prayers really helped. Thanks again. Thank you for all the gifts. I'm really enjoying them. The garden is really beautiful. I went out there today. And I got my chest tube out. And it feels GREAT. I just wanna say thank you to Mrs. McCall for her and 3rd grade making the nice cards for me. I really love it. I really miss all you guys that are out there praying for me. I would just wanna say a special thanks to the ACA school for all they did for me too. Thank you for all the cards. I really enjoy them. They are so cute. Thanks again for praying for me. That's all."

Okay, hearing this from him for the first time, I'm literally choking up. This sweet boy knows he's a miracle and it's thanks to prayer. Thank you to everyone on behalf of all of us.

  1. Hay Everyone,
That is so sweet!!! You are graced with a wonderful son. I have always had so much fun with him. I can't wait to see him again. I remember when I left and moved to Oklahoma the first time. Brayden didn't want me to leave and asked me not to. It was so sweet. I am so happy that you guys got to see the Garden. I have always liked gardens. Well you guys have fun and get to feeling better Brayden. We love and miss you all. Were with you in spirit.

  5. Brayden,
I am so glad to hear how you are improving. I told you the staff a ACH are awesome and will take great care of you. Have you had your 7 layer omlet yet? The pizza and cheeseburgers are good also if you haven't had those yet. We will continue to pray for you!

  6. Lisa, It doesn't seem possible that your Brayden is as big as he is. It was only yesterday that you were even smaller that he is! The great thing is that the God of yesterday that healed my baby girl, Elisabeth (she is a senior and graduating in 3 weeks)eighteen years ago, is the same God today and healing Brayden! When you seem overwhelmed just remember there are a lot of people holding you, Brayden and your family up in prayer. This is the first time I ever "blogged" but I just wanted you and Brayden to know you are in my prayers. Hope I'm "blogging" right! :) I haven't seen you in years but you and your mom are often in my thoughts. Love and prayers, Auntie Barb in MO

  7. I am a friend of Denise Honn, she shared your story with me and I wanted to stop by and let you know that my family and I are praying for a quick recovery for Brayden. God truly is awesome! And Brayden seems to really have an awesome spirit. I will check back and see how he is doing, and I will add him to my Sunday school prayer list. God Bless!

  10. Brayden,
I'm so glad you got to go outside Sunday. The garden sounds beautiful. I'm also glad that you continue to do better. You are truly a miracle and I know that God has a very special plan for your life. It will be exciting to see what He has planned.
We miss your laughter and funny remarks at school. It's not the same without you. We look forward to more great news about your healing. Keep up the fight, storm trooper. Be strong and know that God is with you every step of the way.

    Lisa,
Thank you so much for this wonderful blog that keeps us so informed. Your writing is amazing and often brings tears. It is truly written from a mom's point of view. ACA continues to pray for your family and if there is anything we can do, please let us know. You and Bryan are super parents and Braydon is so blessed to have you. Be bold and strong, God is with you.

  11. My Dearest Brayden,

I sure am missing you oodles since getting back home. It was so hard to leave you & Mommy. Although I know you're sleeping tonight, I just wanted to tell you how very, very much Papa & I love you and how much we are praying for you tonight. When you look out your window at the stars, just know that Nini is looking at those same stars here, k? I love reading your "bloggie" and, like Mommy,... I love that you call it that. I love how you've kept your sassy & teasing spirit despite all you've been through. We're so thankful that God is healing your body & making you stronger day by day! And, we're so thankful for all those who are praying for our precious Brayden. Give Mommy a kiss from me & then have her give you one from Nini, k? I love you with all my heart!
